Channel Island History Sites

Guernsey CIOS  The Occupation Society was formed in 1961 to study all aspects of the German military occupation of the British Channel Islands during the Second World War. The society organises guided tours, excursions and talks throughout the Islands and France. It also continues to build up an extensive sound, documentary and photographic archive. Practical projects include the restoration of the Naval Signals H.Q. bunker at St. Jacques on the outskirts of St. Peter Port.

Jersey Heritage Trust  The Trust was founded in 1981. The Trust is an independent organisation that receives an annual grant from the States of Jersey to support its running costs. Admission income from visitors and support from sponsors are also vital to keep it operating.
